The Presidential Office


Composed of the President and the Secretary-General, the Presidential Office serves as the highest governing body of the University of Toronto Student Research Initiative (UTSRI). Together, they oversee the organization’s direction and operations, ensure coordination across all departments, represent UTSRI to the University and external partners, and uphold its constitution, integrity, and mission of bringing Canada’s largest STEM research competition to UofT.

The President is the chief executive and spokesperson of UTSRI, responsible for leading the organization, setting its strategic vision, and ensuring the success of all initiatives. He oversees the organization and all its entities, maintain institutional integrity, and represent UTSRI in all official capacities within and beyond the University. The President also chairs the Executive Committee which steers and manages the organization and its operations.

The Secretary-General serves as the Chief of Staff of UTSRI, acting as the President’s principal assistant and second-in-command. He oversees administrative coordination across all departments, manage internal communication and workflow, and ensure that executive operations run efficiently. The Secretary-General also acts as Interim President when required, maintaining organizational continuity, cohesion, and accountability throughout each biennial cycle.
